The students of Foster Development School of Management (FDSM) came together to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti on 19th February 2023. The celebration began with the lighting of a traditional lamp, followed by the singing of devotional songs in praise of the great warrior king.
The highlight of the celebration was a speech delivered by Prof. Dhammanand S. Gaikwad and Prof. Santosh B. Thombare, who enlightened the students about the life and achievements of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The professor spoke about the Maratha Empire’s contribution to India’s rich cultural and historical heritage and emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting our country’s legacy.
The students also organized a cultural program showcasing Maharashtra’s rich cultural heritage. They performed traditional folk dances, including the lavani and dandiya, and enjoyed traditional Maharashtrian delicacies like vada pav, pav bhaji, and puran poli.
Overall, the celebration of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti at FDSM was a grand success. It not only brought the students together but also instilled a sense of pride and respect for the great Maratha warrior king in their hearts.
